Tuesday, October 16th is the Anniversary of the Luminous Mysteries given by Pope John Paul II.
Archdiocesan Annual Appeal: Two collection dates are October 21st and November 25th. You may donate on-line in a safe, secure manner at www.halifaxyarmouth.org or you can mail your donation directly o Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, Catholic Pastoral Centre, 1531 Grafton Street, Halifax, B3J 2Y3. If you choose to put your donation in collection basket, please ensure your name, envelope number, and donation card is filled out.
Pot-Luck Dinner: Saturday, October 21st after the 4:00pm Mass. $8 per plate and someone will take home a Door Prize! Theresa and Doug Lewis are coordinating this dinner to help kick start the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, which helps raise funds for our parish. There is a sign-up sheet near the main entrance of the church if you can help make or bring something for the Pot-luck. If you have any questions, please call Doug Lewis at 829-3044.
Country Time Show: Sunday, October 21st at 7:00pm. Admission $6. Come out and enjoy the fun! There’s lots of great entertainment and music, so come out and bring your friends!
Flea Market: Will be Saturday, November 3rd from 9:00am – 1:30pm. This is to help raise funds for our church repairs. If you can help with setting up or working the day of the flea market, or have any items to donate, please call Gordon Jewers at 460-5698.
Fish Chowder & Corn Chowder: Saturday, November 3rd from 1:00-3:00pm, along with the Flea Market, and after the 4:00pm Mass. Jennie & Wilfred will be selling fish and corn chowder and ginger bread for dessert. Price is $7 for a bowl of fish or corn chowder with dessert, tea & coffee. Please join us!
Bottle Drive: We are collecting bottles to help raise funds for our Outreach Program. The funds raised will go towards utilities for the use of the hall and supplies for outreach. If you have bottles and cans you would like to donate, please put them in front of the main doors of the hall before or after Mass.
St. Vincent de Paul Society: Item of the month is a can of brown beans. A box is located near the main entrance.
