Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Weekday Masses:  This week only, there will be no weekday Masses from Tuesday – Friday.  We will  still have the Rosary as scheduled each day.  

Archdiocesan Annual Appeal:  Collection this weekend and November 25th. You may donate on-line at www.halifaxyarmouth.org or mail your donation directly to Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, Catholic Pastoral Centre, 1531 Grafton Street, Halifax, B3J 2Y3.  Make cheques payable to Archdiocesan Annual Appeal.  

All Saints’ Day:  The Solemnity of All Saints will be celebrated Thursay, November 1st, with a Mass celebration at 9:00am in English and 6:30pm in Polish.

All Souls’ Day:  The commemoration of all the faithful departed will be celebrated Friday, November 2nd, with Mass at 9:00am in English; 3:00pm Adoration until 6:00pm Rosary in Polish followed by Mass.

Memorial Mass:  We will have a special Memorial Mass on Tuesday, November 13th at 6:30pm for parishioners who died between November 2011 and November 2012.  We also invite all parishioners who would like to memorialize a special loved one who is now deceased.    

Pot-Luck Dinner:  This Saturday, October 20th after the 4:00pm Mass.  $8 per plate and someone will take home a Door Prize!   Theresa, Doug & Darlene Lewis are coordinating this dinner to help kick start the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, which helps raise funds for our parish.  

Country Time Show:  This Sunday, October 21st at 7:00pm.  Admission $6.  There’s lots of great entertainment and music, so come out and bring your friends!

Flea Market:  Saturday, November 3rd from 9:00am – 1:30pm.  If you can help set up or working the day of the flea market, or have any items to donate, please call Gordon Jewers at 460-5698.  

Fish Chowder & Corn Chowder:  Saturday, November 3rd from 1:00-3:00pm, along with the Flea Market, and after the 4:00pm Mass.  Jennie & Wilfred will be selling fish and corn chowder and ginger bread for dessert.  Price is $7 for a bowl of fish or corn chowder with dessert,  tea & coffee.  Join us!

Bottle Drive:  We are collecting bottles to help raise funds for our Outreach Program.   If you have bottles and cans you would like to donate, please put them in front of the main doors of the hall before or after Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul Society:  Item of the month is a can of brown beans.  A box is located near the main entrance of the church.
