Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

2013 Church Envelopes: Boxed envelopes are on the table near the main entrance for those who used envelopes last year. If you do not currently have a box, but would like one, please call Nancy at the Parish Office.

St. Nicholas: Will be visiting our parish this Sunday, December 9th during a luncheon after the 10:15am Mass in Polish. St. Nicholas is looking forward to seeing everyone.

Our Lady of Guadelupe: This Sunday at St. Anthony’s Parish, at 3:00pm there will be a gathering of people saying prayers dedicated to Our Lady of Guadelupe.

Movie Night ~ For Greater Glory: This Monday night at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall at 7:00pm. A 2012 Drama film and historic epic based on the true story of the Cristero War 1926-1929, a rebellion which arose out of the Mexican government’s persecution of the Catholic Church. Starring Andy Garcia & Eva Longoria. A donation for our parish is greatly appreciated.

Pastoral Council: Meeting, Tuesday, December 11th after the 6:30pm Mass.

Christmas Flowers: If anyone wishes to donate towards the purchasing of Christmas flowers for St. Anthony’s Parish, please put your donation in a separate envelope, marked ‘Christmas Flowers’, and provide your name, envelope number and amount.

Prizes for Our Lottery: The draw for the three prizes in our lottery will take place during the Country Time Show next Sunday! Good luck to all who purchased tickets and thank you for your support!

Country Time Show: Next Sunday, December 16th at 7:00pm! $6 admission. Please come out and bring your friends! Lots of great entertainment: Master of Ceremonies ~ Al Hollingsworth, Back-up band Grover Country featuring: Ronnie Masters, Bev Cheverie, Cecil MacDougall, Vic Ivany, Hayden Stover and Special Guest, Father Jan Grotkowski!

New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance: Ticket cost is $25 per person. Please see Gordon Jewers or contact him at 469-5698. This is a great night with lots of food, drinks and dancing!

Outreach: We raised another $100 from bottles for our Outreach Program! Please keep them coming!

St. Vincent de Paul Society: Item of the month for December is a package of Mr. Noodles. A box is located near the main entrance of the church. Thank you for your support.

Backpack Project: Please deliver back to us before or after Mass, on or before Thursday, December 13th. Thank you for your support! Everyone is encouraged to come and help sort and fill the backpacks at St. Peter’s School Gym on Saturday, December 17th from 1:00-3:00pm. Pizza lunch provided.
