Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

April 25th

Almighty God, who by the hands of Mark the Evangelist have given to your Church the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God: We thank You for this witness, and pray that we may be firmly grounded in its truth, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

Feast of St. Mark, the Evangelist: Wednesday, April 25th. Please join us to celebrate at our 9:00am Mass.

Liturgy Committee Meeting: Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00pm in the hall.

Pastoral Council Meeting: Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 26th at 7:00pm in the hall.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations: Sunday, April 29th. On the fourth Sunday of Easter, Christians are invited to reflect on the meaning of God’s call and to pray for vocations. Christ the Good Shephered continues to lead His people through His Bishops, Priests, and Deacons, and call many to follow Him in this way. Priestly, diaconal, and religious vocations should be a constant concern in the hearts of God’s people throughout the year.

Flea Market: We will be holding a flea market in the basement of the church hall on May 19th. If you have any items you no longer need and would like to donate them, please contact Gordon Jewers at 469-5698. No electronics, please. Please come out and support our parish!

Country Time Show: Thank you for joining us last Sunday at the Country Time Show. Proceeds made for our church were $643.85. The next show will be on Sunday, May 27th (not May 20th as previously advertised).

St. Vincent de Paul Society: The donation item for the month of April is a can of soup. A box is located near the main entrance of the church. We appreciate your kind donations.

St. Andrew’s School of Evangelization: Halifax is pleased to present the introductory NEW LIFE course from Friday, May 25th; 6:30pm through to Sunday, May 27th at 3:30pm at St. Theresa’s Church hall 6351 North Street, Halifax. It will be a weekend of faith enrichment in which every can come to know Jesus more personally and have a more faith-filled life. Cost is $100 (meals included).
