Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

Feast of St. Anthony of Padua: Please join us as we honor our Patron Saint with Mass and 9 Day Novena starting this Monday, June 4th – Tuesday, June 12th ( end of Novena) and celebrations ending on St. Anthony’s Feast Day, Wednesday, June 13th. A complete schedule is available for you at the church. Please note: During these dates, the weekday Masses will be at 6:30pm (there will be no 9:00am Mass). The Franciscans of Halifax will be joining us on Wednesday, June 6th and 13th. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and honor our wonderful Saint, Priest and Doctor of the Church, Saint Anthony!

Sunday, June 10th: Please note there will be only ONE Bilingual Mass at 9:45am. There will be no 9:00am or 10:15am Mass. We will be celebrating Corpus Christi Sunday. There will be a procession after Mass at approximately 10:45am around the grounds of St. Anthony’s Parish. There will be 4 Altars with the 1st and 3rd Altar set up by the English community and the 2nd and 4th set up by the Polish community.

12th Annual Polish Festival: Come out and bring your friends! The Polish Festival will be Saturday, June 16th from 12:00pm – 12:00pm and Sunday, June 17th from 12:00pm – 6:00pm at the grounds and building of St. Anthony’s Parish. There will be lots of great food, music and dancing, beer garden, raffles and games! The first prize for the cash raffle is $800! Hope to see you there!

Polish Festival Lottery: If anyone has money and ticket stubs for the Polish Festival lottery to turn in, please give them to Gordon Jewers.

Country Time Show: The last Country Time Show brought in $709.30 for our prarish.

Lectio Divina: In the hall Thursday, June 7th after the 6:30pm Mass. Everyone is welcome! This is the last Lectio Divina of the season and Scripture to be considered is from Corpus Christi.

Readers: We are in need of readers for Mass on Sundays at 9:00am. If you would liketo read, please contact Jennie Martell at 464-1561.

St. Vincent de Paul Society: Item of the Month for June is canned meat: turkey,chicken, tuna, ham, etc. Thank you! A box is located at the entrance of the church.

Don’t Forget: The first Thursday of the Month, we pray for the vocations of Priests.
