St. Anthony's Church

St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church & St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

We also have our hall available to rent. Please contact the office for further information.

For information on events, please see our calendar.

Bulletin: 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Father in Heaven, all creation rightly gives you praise, for all life and all holiness come from you.

In the plan of your wisdom she who bore the Christ in her womb was raised body and soul in glory to be with Him in Heaven.

May we follow her example in reflecting Your holiness and join in her hymn of endless love and praise. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
— Prayer for the Assumption of Mary

Operation Stained Glass Windows: We now have all eight stained glass windows to be installed in our parish of St. Anthony’s. These beautiful windows will shine over Eucharistic Liturgies and special ceremonies for years to come. We are still awaiting installation quotes and total project cost. If anyone would like to donate the cost of installation for a window, in your name or the memory of a deceased loved one, we will have a plaque made with that name. You have the option of paying in installments for your convenience as well. All donation amounts (large or small) are welcomed and appreciated. Please put your full name and donation in an envelope marked ‘stained glass windows’ and drop in the Sunday collection basket. Special Envelopes will be available on the tables near the entrance of the church next weekend. For questions, please contact Nancy at 463-1372. This is a wonderful opportunity to beautify and preserve our parish. The future of St. Anthony’s is in our hands. Please join us in this project and keep our light shining brightly!

Welcoming Committee: We are organizing a welcoming committee for St. Anthony’s and we are in need of greeters for the weekend Masses. If you would be willing to help out, please contact Gordon Jewers at 469-5698.
