Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Archbishop Anthony Mancini will be coming to St. Anthony’s Parish    to celebrate Mass with us on Sunday, November 17th at 9:00am! We encourage you to come and welcome him on November 17th, as we are very happy to have our Archbishop with us! If you are able to donate sweets, please see Jennie Martell after Mass.

Donations: Tm MacNeil, Manager of Sobeys on Wyse Rd, on behalf of Sobeys Stores, presented our parish with a donation of $300.  Alderman, Darren Fisher, presented a cheque for $1,000 for our Outreach Program.  Half of this will go towards the cost of heat and electricity in the hall.   We thank God for His Divine Providence in helping our parish needs!

Pastoral Council: There will be a Pastoral Council meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 7:00pm. 

Annual Appeal:  The next collection will be November 23rd & 24th. Thank you for your kind donations.  The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal provides resources for the Year of Faith and New Evangelization.  You may also donate online at www.halifaxyarmouth.org. Thank you for your generous gift!

Country Time Show:  Sunday, November 17th at 7:00pm.  Admission is only $6!  Master of Ceremonies is All Hollingsworth with back-up band Grover Country featuring:  Florence Axford, Jon Cyr, Tish Taylor, Ray Richard, Haywood Strickland, and Lad Dunham.  Bring along your friends and enjoy the evening listening to great music and watching live entertainment!

House Blessing:  If you would like your house blessed by Br. Nathanael, please call the office and leave a message with your name and phone number and he will get back to you. 

Catechism & RCIA:  Will start in November.   If you wish to register your child for Catechism, or if you are an adult who would like to register for RCIA, please see Br. Nathanael or call him at the parish office.

Still for Sale!:  You can still purchase jars of pickled beets, mustard pickles, green tomato chow, cucumber relish, blueberry jam, and ‘friendship’ soup for $5 each ~ Call John LeBlanc at 469.4366.

Lottery Tickets: Thank you to everyone who is purchasing tickets for our fundraiser! You can purchase tickets or help sell a book of 10 to your friends.  See Gordon or Shayne after Mass.  The draw will take place at the Country Time Show in December.  Thank you for your support!

St. Vincent de Paul: ‘Item of the Month’ for November is a can of beans.  Thank you!

Bottle Drive: Please contintue to drop off any recyclables (in the boardroom of the church) before or after Mass.  All proceeds go towards our Outreach Program. 

2014 St. Joseph’s Yearly Sunday Missals: are available for $5 each.
