Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

Bulletin: Palm Sunday

Holy Week is the week which precedes the great feast of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday ~ it includes the last days of Lent and the beginning of the Easter Triduum. During Holy Week, the Church celebrates the mysteries of salvation accomplished by Christ in the last days of His life on earth, beginning with His messianic entrance into Jerusalem.

Chrism Mass: Everyone is encouraged to attend the Chrism Mass this Tuesday of Holy Week, March 26th, at 12:15pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, in which all Priests renew their priestly promises and the Church makes its final preparation for the celebration of the Easter Triduum, by blessing the three Sacred oils.

Mass Cancellation: There will be no morning Mass on Thursday and Friday due to Holy Thursday – Commemoration of the Last Supper at 7:00pm and Good Friday Service at 3:00pm.

Easter Flowers: If you would like to make a donation to help us purchase flowers for the Altar for Easter, please put your donation in an envelope and write Easter Flowers, with your name, amount and envelope number. If you need an envelope they are on the table near the entrance of the church. Thank you for your donation!

Country Time Show: Thank you to everyone who came out and supported St. Anthony’s Parish and enjoyed the show! Your support raised $576.50 for our parish.

Dance: The dance which was previously postponed because of the stormy weather, will be held on Saturday, April 27th starting at 8:00pm. A bowl of chilli and roll will be included in the admission price of $10. You can book your ticket now with Gordon Jewers at 469-5698.
