Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

The Month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart. After each Mass we will be saying the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A message from Father Jan: Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes and generous gifts last weekend. The support and kindness from my parishioners and friends meant the world to me on my birthday.

Fundraising: The last flea market and fish/corn chowder dinner proceeds were $874.90. The Polish Luncheon proceeds were $570. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported these events for our parish. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Country Time Show: Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the show and support St. Anthony’s. Proceeds from the show were $991.75. The next Country Time Show will be Sunday, June 23rd. See you then!

Parish Pastoral Council: This is the final weekend for nominations to St. Anthony’s Pastoral Council. Nomination forms may be put in the collection basket. Be sure to ask the person being nominated if they are willing to serve on council.

Sharing the Care: There will be a second collection on June 1&2 for our Infirm and Retired Priests. This fund helps our retired Priests receive the assistance necessary during recovery from illness and in retirement.

Lottery Tickets: Please see Gordon Jewers to purchase lottery tickets. The draw will be the 3rd weekend of June  at our Annual Polish Festival.

The prizes are: 1) $800 2) $400 3) $200 4) $100 Plus four merchandise prizes worth $50

St. Vincent de Paul Society: ‘Item of the month’ for June is a jar of peanut butter.

St. Paul’s Church: 5th Annual Perennial Plant Sale to be held on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00am –12:00pm. Sale is held indoors ~ houseplants and garden plants. For info, call Jan at 463-5962.
