Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

This Fall we will be starting a prayer community to walk more deeply in our faith. To the left, we have the agenda which will be typical of most evenings for this faith formation. For the spiritual readings this year, we will follow the writings of Blessed Mother Teresa. Please discern taking this journey with us where we pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us to a more intimate communion with God and our neighbour.

Growing in Faith and the call to Holiness: This fall Br. Nathanael will be leading a ‘Growing in Faith’ prayer community. We will follow Biblical and Spiritual writings, in a set liturgical format, meeting 2 or 3 times a month. Please seriously discern this call to holiness and journey together, deepening our Love for God and our neighbour. If you have any questions, please see Br. Nathanael.

Rosary Group: Sunday, September 7th is the next date to change the Mystery.

Pastoral Council Meeting: This Tuesday, September 9th at 7:00pm. If you have any agenda items, please see John LeBlanc or Br. Nathanael.

Country Time Show: The next Country Time Show is Sunday, September 21st at 7:00pm. Come out and enjoy the show! Admission is only $6. Master of Ceremonies is Al Hollingsworth with back-up band Grover Country featuring: Brooklyn Blackmore, Audrey Murray, Bev Cheverie, Bob Miller, Doug Clooney, Allister McDonald.

Thank You: To everyone who came out to help with the making of the mustard pickles last Monday and Tuesday. We made 120 bottles. We will be making chow pickles next (date and time to be determined – John will keep you posted).

Flea Market: We will be holding a flea market this Fall – dates to follow. The Annual Fall Draw tickets sales has started ~ please see Gordon for tickets or to help with the flea market. Thank you!

St. Vincent de Paul Society: Item of the month for September is canned milk. The donation box is located near the entrance. Thank you!
