Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

The Opening of the Holy Door at the Cathedral will take place on Sunday, December 13th at the 10:30am mass. Archbishop Mancini will also preside a Holy Hour at the Cathedral from 2:30 to 3:30pm. Following the Holy Hour, there will be an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation with a number of priests available. All are welcome.

Christmas Choir Practice: If anyone wishes to sing with the choir on Christmas Eve, you may join the choir for practice on Thursday, December 17th at 6:30pm in the church.

Catechism: Will resume on Saturday, January 9th at 3:00pm in the church.

Pastoral Council: This Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30pm.

Outreach Program ~ Christmas Dinner: Things are running smoothly for our outreach Christmas dinner which will be held this Wednesday, December 16th at 1:00pm. We are asking that all donations be in this weekend. If you have any questions, please see Jennie Martell or Helen MacCormac.

Classic Country Time Show: Next Sunday, December 20th at 7:00pm. Admission is $7. This month’s entertainers are Nashville Recording Artists Jason Price, Makayla Lynn, Casey May, as well as their family members. Please join us for a night of fun and live entertainment.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month for December is spaghetti sauce.

Recyclables: Please drop off your recyclables – before or after Mass. You can also drop them at Rupert Lewis’ house at anytime - 10 Lahey Road – 902. 466.6788.

Confessions in the Year of Mercy: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Franciscans of Halifax Priests will be available to hear Confessions at St. Catherine’s Church, 6476 Bayers Rd. Halifax. Everyone is welcome to celebrate this Sacrament between 5:00pm- 8:00pm each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
