The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

Year of Mercy: Archbishop Anthony Mancini will be celebrating Mass to open the Year of Mercy this Tuesday, December 8th, on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Halifax at 7:00pm.

Annual Draw: Tickets are now available. We are asking that you take a couple of books to sell to your friends. The draw date will be Sunday, February 21st, 2016. For information, contact Gordon Jewers at 902.469.5698.

KofC ~ Keep Christ in Christmas: This Sunday, December 6th - we will start at St. Paul’s at 2:30pm, continuing to St. Anthony’s and finishing at Bethel United Baptist, with a reception to follow.

Catechism: The last Catechism class until the new year is Saturday, December 12th at 3:00pm in the boardroom.

Pastoral Council: Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30pm.

Outreach Program ~ Christmas Dinner: There will be an outreach Christmas dinner on December 16th at 1:00pm. We are asking for donations to help with this dinner. There is a list of items needed at the back of the church. If you have any questions, please see Jennie Martell or Helen MacCormac. Items must be in by Sunday, December 13th. Thank you for the blessing to the friends we serve.

Classic Country Time Show: See you at the next show on December 20th at 7:00pm. Admission is $7. This month’s entertainers are Nashville Recording Artists Jason Price, Makayla Lynn, Casey May, as well as their family members. Please join us for a night of fun and live entertainment.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month for December is spaghetti sauce.

Recyclables: Please drop off your recyclables – before or after Mass. You can also drop them at Rupert Lewis’ house at anytime - 10 Lahey Road – 902. 466.6788.

Confessions in the Year of Mercy: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Franciscans of Halifax Priests will be available to hear Confessions at St. Catherine’s Church, 6476 Bayers Rd. Halifax. Everyone is welcome to celebrate this Sacrament between 5:00pm- 8:00pm each Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning November 30th
