Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Pastoral Council: The next meeting is thisTuesday, June 21st at 6:30pm.

St. Anthony’s Spiritual Library: Our spiritual library is now up and running in the boardroom in the church. You can now sign out a book or DVD after each Mass on the weekends.

Farewell to the Jesuits: After 76 years of ministry in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, will be leaving and will no longer have a presence in our archdiocese. They have contributed greatly to the faith communities in our local church and have impacted the faith of countless people. You are invited to two events to say ‘farewell’.

  • Sunday, June 19th ~ Open House at the Jesuit Spirituality Centre,

2287 Brunswick Street from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

  • Tuesday, June 28th ~ Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated by Archbishop

Anthony Mancini, Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica at 7:00pm

Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame: St. Anthony’s Church Hall, Saturday, June 25th at 7:00pm. Admission is $10. An evening of classic country music featuring Brett Williams, Floyd Spicer & Jo-Ann Newman. Also, Bev Cheverie, Shelley Joyce & Ruth Manning. All proceeds benefit the NSCMHF and St. Anthony’s Parish.
