Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Pickles Fundraiser: Volunteers are needed to help prepare the pickles. If you are available this Tuesday, October 10th & Wednesday, October 11th at 1:00pm, we will be meeting in the hall. We hope you can make it! Please bring your special paring knife and cutting board. Thank you for your help!

St. Anthony’s & St. Faustina’s Prayer Intention Book: There is a book in the church near the main entrance for anyone to write in their special intentions so we may offer them all collectively during our Prayers of the Faithful.

Country Classic Show: Next Sunday, October 15th at 7:00pm. Admission is $7. Special entertainers are Blain Henshaw (NSCMHF Inductee), Frank Grandy, and 10 year old Lucas Whitehead. Backup band is Sidewinder Plus.

Catechism: It is important to encourage each other in faith. If you have children or grand-children, please consider enrolling them in our Catechism program. To register, please speak to Br. Nathanael.

Fall Flea Market: We are collecting items for our upcoming Flea Market on October 28th & 29th. If you have new or used items, please see Gordon Jewers after Mass to arrange a drop off time. Thank you for your contributions.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is a box of cereal.

A Touch of Classical Concert: On October 28th, 7:00pm at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax, the Franciscans of Halifax are hosting a concert of classical music, featuring local musicians. Proceeds of this concert go toward further education for the Franciscan brothers and sisters. Reserve seats online at or by calling Sr. Edith at 902-717-2012. Payment can be made online or by cash at the door, $20 per person.

Public Square Rosary Crusade ~ Our Lady of Fatima: Come and join in our Rosary Rally in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima Centennial (1917-2017) on Saturday, October 14th at 12:00pm ~ Keating Place parking lot, 190 Victoria Road. There will be short video followed by a reception in St. Anthony’s Parish Hall after the rosary. This rosary rally is coordinated nationally by Canadian Society for the Defence of Christian Civilization and its Canada Needs Our Lady campaign.
