St. Anthony's Church

St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church & St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

We also have our hall available to rent. Please contact the office for further information.

For information on events, please see our calendar.

This is to help us have accurate member information on our parishioners, such as birthdate, anniversary, email addresses, etc. Please take a moment after Mass next weekend to fill this out, fold it and place it in the basket or box provided on the table at the front of the church. This information if for our database only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Christ the King Prayer Campaign: we are nearing the end of The Christ the King Prayer Campaign. Prayer card packets are still available for free. You can take a packet home and pray for those you know in need of prayer by lighting a candle, saying the prayer inside the card, and sending it to the loved one for whom you are praying. The cards are provided free of charge by Chalice, but it is up to you to send them to your friends. They will be available after Mass – please see Jennie Martell.

Country Time Show: The next Country Time Show will be Sunday, December 18th at 7:00pm. Admission $6.

Keep Christ in Christmas: Thank you to everyone who coordinated and came out to attend this special procession, and thank you to all who helped out for the reception.

Christmas Gifts for The Mental Healthy Program: A box will be set up soon for donations. Through your generosity, gifts for the inpatients and residents of the Nova Scotia Hospital, Abbie J. Lane Building and East Coast Forensic Hospital bring great cheer from the community during the holiday season. Please see the green pamphlets on the tables at the entrance of the church for suggested items. Please do not wrap donated items; no scented items & no used clothing. Please note there are more male clients than female.

Advent Backpack Project: A reminder that this year, our parish is partnering with four other Dartmouth parishes to fill bags of gifts for the patrons of Feeding Others of Dartmouth and other local charities. Your help is urgently needed to fill 300 bags of gifts for adult men and women who do not have the resources to provide for themselves. Please take a gift bag home, fill it, and deliver it back to the church when you come to Mass. Deadline is December 15th. Thank you for your generous support!
