Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Everyone is encouraged to join us! Catholicism Series
Tuesday, January 28th
at 7:00pm in the hall, for a DVD showing (10 series) by Fr. Robert Barron. From the sacred lands of Israel to the beating heart of Uganda...from the glorious shrines of Italy, France, and Spain, to the streets of Mexico, Kolkata, and New York City, the fullness of CATHOLICISM is revealed.
Journey deep into the Faith as you watch each episode with us!
Afterwards, we will have a short discussion (approximately 15 minutes) to share our thoughts. Tea & Coffee will be provided.

Country Time Show: This Sunday, January 19th at 7:00pm. Admission is only $6! Master of Ceremonies is Al Hollingsworth with Back-up Band Grover Country featuring: Diane Gould, Vic Ivany, Jason Price, Ray Hill and Howie Shepherd. Enjoy the night out with your friends!

Pastoral Council Meeting: This Tuesday, January 21st at 7:00pm in the hall.

Thank You: To all of you who worked so hard preparing the New Year’s Eve dinner & dance. Also, thank you to those who came out to celebrate with us and supported this parish fundraiser.

Thank You - Outreach Program Bottle Drive: God’s providence has shown, through your generosity, last year – 2013, we spent $1,347.20 and we still have $57.45 cash on hand. Thank you so much for your kindness towards our brothers and sisters in need. As well, thank you for your continued support.

St. Anthony’s Rosary Prayer Group: There are 20 people in the Rosary group each praying a decade for the Rosary daily. Each month on the first Sunday of the month you move on to the next decade. When everyone participates, a full Rosary is said daily. The list of names is being updated of who is doing each decade. If you are interested in continuing with the Rosary group or joining the group, please speak with Joanne Nelson at 464-1981.

St. Vincent de Paul: ‘Item of the Month’ for January is pasta sauce. Thanks for your support.

20th Anniversary of Veritas: Friday, February 7th at 7:00pm – Lecture ‘What is a ‘Catholic Culture?’ at Canadian Martyrs Church, 5900 Inglis Street, Halifax (Tickets $5); Saturday, February 8th Mass at 4:00pm at St. Mary’s Basilica with Archbishop Mancini and 6:00pm Gala Dinner at the Italian Canadian Cultural Association, 2629 Agricola Street, Halifax (Tickets $35).
