Rosary Group: This Sunday, June 1st, we move on to the next decade of the Rosary.
Feast of St. Anthony: We will celebrate Mass for the Feast of St. Anthony, Friday, June 13th at 7:00pm with Fr. Christopher. There will be ‘Blessing of Bread’ and Veneration of a First Class Relic of St. Anthony. We will have a monetary collection for our outreach to the poor. Celebrate this special feast day with us to honour our Patron Saint of the Poor.
Pastoral Council: Thanks to John LeBlanc who will be starting his second term as well as the new members: Lorraine Provender, Kelvin Lloyd, Carol Holland and Basil Cruikshank for coming on board this Fall. Also, thank you to Urszula Rudz, JoAnne Nelson, and Paula MacLellan for agreeing to continue to serve on the Council in the coming year. The new Council takes office in September.
Country Time Show: Sunday, June 22nd (7:00pm) will be the last show before the summer break. Our fall season show will start up again on Sunday, September 21st. Admission is only $6. Come and enjoy the live entertainment!
Spring Draw Tickets: $2 each or 3 for $5. A book of 10 tickets sell for $15. See Gordon Jewers after Mass to get your tickets and see the list of prizes. The draw will take place at the Country Time Show on Sunday, June 22nd. Thanks for your support.
Second Collection: This weekend May 31st and June 1st: The Diocesan Mission for New Evangelization. The funds will help support the annual Assembly of the People of God.
Bingo Equipment: The Bingo night was one of the biggest fundraisers for St. Anthony’s Parish in the past; however, the need for many volunteers was always a challenge to fulfill. We are leaning towards selling the equipment unless someone comes forward to coordinate this fundraiser for St. Anthony’s once again. If you are interested see Br. Nathanael.
