St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church & St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Free Soup Supper and Pickles & Jam Sale! - Please come and join us after Mass on Saturday, October 4th at 5:00pm for our free soup supper. You will help out our parish by purchasing jar of pickles or jam.

30th Anniversary of St. Faustina’s Polish Mission: You are invited to dinner to celebrate with us on Sunday, October 5th at 2:15pm in the parish hall. Dinner is generously provided by the Polish Community and proceeds go towards St. Anthony’s Parish. $10 per plate.

Growing in Faith and the Call to Holiness: Br. Nathanael will be leading a prayer community. This will be open to all and will start this Tuesday, September 30th at 7:00pm in the boardroom of the church. Please seriously discern this call to holiness and journey together, deepening our Love for God and our neighbour.

Feast of St. Francis of Assisi: Saturday, October 4th at 9:00am at St. Catherine’s Parish, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax. Everyone is welcome to attend! Reception will follow.

Blessing of the Animals: Bring your pets for a blessing on Saturday, October 4th

at 3:00pm - before the 4:00pm Mass.

Rosary Group: Sunday, September 7th, please switch to the next Mystery.

Insurance: We recently received the insurance bill from the Archdiocese. It is $8,045.20, an increase of about $2,000 over the former amount of $6,157.15.

Lottery Tickets: The Fall Lottery is in full swing. The first prize is a beautiful quilt and second prize is a signed picture of Nathan MacKinnon. There are 5 prizes all together. Please see Gordon at the main entrance of the church after Mass to buy your tickets. If you can help sell a book of tickets it would be greatly appreciated!

Flea Market: Our next flea market is on the weekend of November 1st & 2nd. We are now accepting donations. Please call Gordon at 469-5698.

Bingo Equipment: If anyone is interested in starting and running a Bingo for St. Anthony’s fundraising using our equipment, please see Br. Nathanael. Our final decision will be voted on at our next Council meeting in October.

Country Time Show: The next event is Sunday, October 19th at 7:00pm. Come out and enjoy the show! Admission is only $6.

St. Vincent de Paul Society: Item of the month for October is pasta sauce. The donation box is located near the entrance. Thank you!
