St. Anthony's Church

St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church & St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

We also have our hall available to rent. Please contact the office for further information.

For information on events, please see our calendar.

Archdiocesan Information:2015 Assembly of the People This year’s Assembly is June 5 & 6, 2015, and will focus on the first of our three diocesan pastoral themes, Mission.  This year’s Assembly will look a little different, and responds directly to participant feedback from our previous Assemblies and information received through phase one of our Pastoral Planning process: the event provides participants with workshops that are more practical and hands on, and with opportunities to customize your experience to meet your needs and particular charisms. The schedule includes three periods of workshops, each focusing on a different component of mission: Sharing Christ with Others; Ministry to Those in Need; and Reliance on the Spirit Participants will select their own workshops, choosing from 5-7 options in each periods. To increase our visibility and emphasize our desire to “go out” from our churches, the main sessions will be held at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Halifax, with the workshops held at various nearby locations in the downtown core (within a 10 minute walk).

Cost: $20.00  (This great price is thanks to the generosity of our benefactors!) If you have any questions please contact Elizabeth Craig at or (902) 429-9800 ext 311 or register online at
