The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Mass of Remembrance ~ January 30th: The special intentions, for the living and for those who have died, that you named in the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal will be remembered on Saturday, January 30 at 12:15pm Mass. Archbishop Anthony Mancini invites you and your family to join with him in the celebration of the Eucharist at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. Reception to follow. All are welcome to this time of remembrance and thanksgiving.

Br. Paul’s Ordination to Priesthood: Please mark your calendar for Saturday, February 6th at 10:30am. Archbishop Anthony Mancini will ordain Br. Paul MacIntosh, FoH to the Priesthood at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, Halifax. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please keep Br. Pauls in your prayers.

Classic Country Time Show: The next show is this Sunday, January 17th at 7:00pm. Admission is $7. Featured musicians are Darrin Lively, Wendy Manning, and Billy Bob Phillips. This will be the first night of our talent contest and the audience gets to vote for the person who will move on to the finals. 50/50 Draw and door prizes supplied by Scotiabank Bridge Branch and Chaters Meat Market, Wyse Rd. Come out for a fun night of entertainment!

Parish Council: The next meeting will be this Tuesday, January 19th at 6:30pm.

Mass Intentions: We are accepting Mass intentions for both weekend Masses. Please see Br. Nathanael if you would like the Mass to be offered for a deceased loved-one or for a special intention.

Annual Draw: Please see Gordon Jewers (469.5698) if you can help out with the draw by purchasing or selling tickets. Gordon will be at the main of entrance of the church after Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month for January is peanut butter.

Recyclables: Please drop off your recyclables – before or after Mass. You can also drop them at Rupert Lewis’ house at anytime - 10 Lahey Road, or call him at902. 466.6788.

Confessions in the Year of Mercy: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Franciscans of Halifax Priests will be available to hear Confessions at St. Catherine’s Church, 6476 Bayers Rd. Halifax. Everyone is welcome to celebrate this Sacrament between 5:00pm- 8:00pm each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
