Feast of John Paul II: Everyone is invited for a meal after the 1:00pm Mass in Polish this Sunday, October 22nd. Each plate is $8 which includes, cabbage rolls, and coffee/tea. Dessert is $2.
Flea Market Set-up: Anyone who is available to help set up tables and organize items, is invited to meet in the hall this Thursday, October 26th at 1:00pm. We are still accepting items. Please see Gordon or drop off items between 1:00-4:00pm this Thursday.
Fundraiser: We continue to sell our jam, mustard pickles, chow, and beets. See Rupert in the boardroom after the weekend Masses ~ $5 per jar.
Classic Country Show: Thank you to everyone who came to the show. Proceeds for our parish were $566.40. The next show is November 19th.
DVD Series: We will be starting a new DVD 6-part series ‘Catching Fire ~ Becoming Flame’ ~ A guide for Spiritual Transformation with Fr. Albert Haase, OFM. We will begin on Tuesday, November 7th at 6:30pm in the hall.
St. Anthony’s & St. Faustina’s Prayer Intention Book: There is a book in the church near the main entrance for anyone to write in their special intentions.
This way, we may offer them all collectively during our Prayers of the Faithful.
2018 St. Joseph’s Missals: Are available in the Sacristy for $5 each.
A Touch of Classical Concert: Next Saturday, October 28th, 7:00pm at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax, the Franciscans of Halifax are hosting a concert of classical music, featuring local musicians. Proceeds of this concert go toward further education for the Franciscan brothers and sisters. Reserve seats online at www.franciscansofhalifax.com or by calling Sr. Edith at 902-717-2012. Payment can be made online or by cash at the door, $20 per person.
Fall Flea Market: Next Saturday, October 28th from 9:00am - 4:00pm & 5:00pm – 6:00pm & Sunday, October 29th from 10:00am – 3:00pm. There will be new and used items for everyone, a bake sale, and pickles, chow, beets & jam. Chili or corn chowder with desert and tea/coffee will be served for $8 on Saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm.
