Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Relics of St. Anthony of Padua: November 6th, two relics of St. Anthony of Padua will be visiting our parish. We will also be welcoming a Friar from Padua, Fr. Alessandro Ratti, who will join us for Veneration at 8:00am with Mass at 9:00am, followed by Veneration until 11:00am. If you cannot make our date and time, please check the bulletin boards for other parishes visitation dates.

Volunteers needs: We need a few volunteers before 8:00am on this date to hand out prayer cards.

Archdiocesan Community Collection: From October 21st to November 25th to help make the new parishes stronger together, as a community. There are envelopes marked Equip the Saints on the tables near the entrances of the church. If you would like to donate, please fill out the form in the envelope and send it to the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth, 1531 Grafton Street, Halifax, NS B3J 2B9.

Pastoral Council: The next meeting will be November 20th at 6:00pm. Please note the time of 6:00pm for this meeting due to the DVD Series the same evening.

2019 Sunday Missals: Are now available in the Sacristy for $5 each.

DVD Series: Starting this Tuesday, we will be holding six sessions on Bishop Robert Barron’s The Mass. They will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm in the parish hall on the following dates: October 23, 30, November 6, 20, 27 and December 4. I encourage you to take advantage of these teaching o the sacred mysteries of the Mass. Our first topic is ‘A Privileged Encounter’.

Knights of Columbus: We now have a Knights of Columbus ‘Round Table’ at St. Anthony’s Parish. For information, contact Gordon Jewers, Coordinator, at 902.469.5698.

Fall Flea Market: We are taking donations for our upcoming flea market which will be held on Saturday, November 3rd & Sunday, November 4th. See Gordon Jewers if you have items to donate or call him at (902) 469.5698. We are setting up on Thursday, November 1st at 1:00pm if you able to help. We will have chili / corn chowder for sale for $8 which includes coffee/tea and dessert. There will also be a bake table, and donations of baked goods are welcome. Also, if you are able to volunteer during the flea market or at the bake table, please let Gordon know.

Country Classic Show: This Sunday, October 21st at 7:00pm Admission is $7 Sidewinder (Plus) will be playing featuring Bob MacDonald, Andrew Kent, Carl James, Bill Guest, and Hayden Stover. Special guests are John Snyder, Blain Henshaw, Shirley Reid and Mel MacLeod. We hope to see you there!
