Our Lady Help of Persecuted Christians: A Mass with a focus on Our Lady Help of Persecuted Christians will be held at St. Peter Parish on Wednesday February, 13 at 7 pm. Through the centuries many Christians around the world have suffered and others have died as martyrs in defense of their faith. Thankfully, we live in a country where prejudice against Christians is on the low end of the scale when compared to what is endured at this time by many practicing the faith in some areas of the Middle East. The Mass starts at 7 pm, but all are welcome to come early and participate in a recitation of the Rosary (The Sorrowful Mysteries) from 6:30 to approximately 6:50 pm. This prayer service, preceding the Mass, will be led by Knights of Columbus members. There will be no noon Mass at St Peter Parish church on this day.
Orphans, they are our sons, and so in correcting their mistakes we must lay aside all anger and restrain it so firmly that it is extinguished entirely.
