Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Bulletin: 3rd Sunday in Lent

Transition Team Purpose Statement:

“We will work as a Christ-centered team, representing the faith communities of Immaculate Conception, Saint Anthony (including Saint Faustina Polish Mission), Saint Paul, and Saint Peter, ensuring mission, community, and formation are the guiding elements as we move forward to form our new parish.”

Please find attached to our bulletin, the Transition Team Newsletter. This is a summary of what the team has been working on as of this date. We will keep updating this newsletter so you are informed of all activities that your parish representatives are involved in – as we continue to grow stronger together and form our new parish.

DVD Series: On The Mass ~ by Bishop Robert Barron, is shown during Lent on Saturdays at 3:15pm (before the 4:00pm Mass). I encourage everyone to give time to learn more about the central mystery of our faith. Next week is our fourth session, however, you can join us anytime.

Adoration: This week Fr. Paul will be hearing Confession during Adoration Thursday evening from 7:00pm-8:00pm. He will not be at the April 4th Adoration due to other commitments.

Country Classic Show: Thank you to everyone who came out to watch the show last Sunday. Proceeds for our parish were $448.85. There is no show in the month of April due to Easter. The next show will be Sunday, May 19th.

Flea Market: We are accepting donations for our upcoming flea market which will be held June 1&2. Please speak to Gordon Jewers (902.469.5698) if you have anything you would like to donate.

Secular Franciscans: Will meet next Saturday, March 30th at 1:00pm in the Polish room in the parish hall.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is granola bars.

Recyclables: Please drop off your recyclables before or after Mass. You can also drop them off anytime at Rupert Lewis’ house, 10 Lahey Road, or call him at 902. 466.6788.

Transportation for Br. Nathanael’s Ordination: We want to rent a bus to take people over to St. Mary’s Baslica on June 13th. We would like to know who is interested in having transportation to and from St. Anthony’s. Please sign the list near the main entrance of the church.

St. Paul’s Church: Loonie-Toonie Coffee House, Wednesday, March 27 from 7:00-9:00pm ~ an all Irish evening. Admission is $2 per person.
