St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church & St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Transition Team Newsletter: there is an updated letter from our Transition Team in the bulletin. Please read it and especially the part of Naming our New Parish. All suggestion should be email to the address on the handout with the reason for your suggestion. You can also place a letter into the suggestion box at the back of the Church. Thanks, this is important for a new identity to conform to the name we chose.

Divine Mercy Sunday ~ April 28th: Everyone is invited to join St. Faustina's Polish mission at St. Anthony's Church for Divine Mercy Sunday. Confessions at 2pm (continuing into Mass) 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet, 3.10pm Mass   followed by veneration of St. Faustina and John Paul II relics.

Adoration: There will be no Adoration until Thursday, May 9th at 7:00pm.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is canned peas.

Polish Dinner ~ Palm Sunday: Thank you for those who worked hard to bring this beautiful meal to us and all who attended. Proceeds to the parish $967.

Fundraiser Towards Bus Transportation: There is a lottery ($5 per square) to raise funds for the motor coach. If you would like to purchase a square, please fill out your name and phone number (see Paula after Mass at the entrance of the church). The winner will take home $100. The draw will take place after all squares are filled.

Flea Market: We are accepting donations for our upcoming flea market which will be held June 1&2. Please speak to Gordon Jewers (902.469.5698) if you have anything you would like to donate.

Food Bingo: St. Paul’s Church, 197 Windmill Rd. Dartmouth ~ Saturday April 27th 2:00-4:00pm. Also, Used clothing and Books/CDs/DvDs and puzzle sale Saturday, May 4th, 9:00-11:00am ~ Free Admission.
