Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

We invite you to discover the richness of our parish. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.

Priestly Ordination of Br. Nathanael DesRoches :On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Br. Nathanael DesRoches of the Franciscans of Halifax will be ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Mancini. The ordination will take place at 7:00pm at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. John & Darlene LeBlanc will be coming home to attend and are putting on a parish dinner on Saturday, June 15th after Mass to celebrate Br. Nathanael’s Ordination.

Naming of our Parish: All suggestions should be emailed to dartmouthparish5@gmail.com with the reason for your choice. You can also write a letter about the reason for your suggestion of a new name and hand it to Linda Young or John Trainor. The deadline to submit your suggested name is noon this Sunday, May 19th.

Parish Town Hall Meeting: There will be a town hall meeting for our new parish grouping on Tuesday, May 28th (after the 6:30pm Mass) at St. Paul’s Parish hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will give an update on the progress of our 4 parishes coming together, especially the new proposed Mass schedule.

Spring Flea Market: Saturday, June 1st from 9:00am-3:00pm and after Mass from 5:00pm-6:30pm & Sunday, June 2nd from 10:00am-3:30pm. Corn or fish chowder will be served and includes a roll, coffee/tea and dessert Saturday (only) from 11:00am-3:00pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm. $8 per person. If you have items to donate, and/or can help set up please call Gordon at 469.5698. There will be a bake table as well, and we are gladly accepting baked goods.

Fundraiser Towards Bus Transportation: There is a lottery ($5 per square) to raise funds for the motor coach. If you would like to purchase a square, please fill out your name and phone number (see Paula after Mass at the entrance of the church). The winner will take home $100. The draw will take place after all squares are filled. Please see Paula at the entrance of the church. There are only a few spaces left!

Spaghetti Supper: In support of the Dartmouth North NDP Electoral District Association ~ Saturday, May 25th in St. Anthony’s Parish Hall from 4:30-6:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. To purchase tickets call 902.430.8761 or go to https://action.nsndp.ca/page/contribute/dartmouth-supper.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is canned meat or fish.

St. Paul’s Church: Food Bingo, Saturday, May 25th and June 1st from 2:00-4:00pm - $10 per person. The last Loonie-Toonie Coffee House of the season (Rock ‘n’ Roll evening) is Wednesday, May 29th from 7:00-9:00pm - $2 per person.

Country Classic Show: This Sunday, May 19th at 7:00pm. Admission is $7. Special guests are Bill Grover, Frank Grandy and 12 year old Xuan Trzebiatowski. We hope you can make it out to the show!
