Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

Priestly Ordination of Br. Nathanael DesRoches: On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Br. Nathanael DesRoches of the Franciscans of Halifax will be ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Mancini. The ordination will take place at 7:00pm at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. John & Darlene LeBlanc will be coming home to attend and are putting on a parish dinner on Saturday, June 15th after Mass to celebrate Br. Nathanael’s Ordination. If anyone would like to help out, there is a sign-up sheet on the table near the main entrance of the church.

Spring Flea Market: Saturday, June 1st from 9:00am-3:00pm and after Mass from 5:00pm-6:30pm & Sunday, June 2nd from 10:00am-3:30pm. Corn or fish chowder will be served and includes a roll, coffee/tea and dessert Saturday (only) from 11:00am-3:00pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm. $8 per person. If you have items to donate, call Gordon at 469.5698. If you can help set up, please come to the hall on Thursday from 1:00pm-4:00pm. There will be a bake table as well, and we are gladly accepting baked goods.

Parish Town Hall Meeting: There will be a town hall meeting for our new parish grouping this Tuesday, May 28th (after the 6:30pm Mass) at St. Paul’s Parish hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will give an update on the progress of our 4 parishes coming together, especially on naming our new parish, bulletins, websites, and much more.

Country Classic Show: Proceeds from the last show were $545.25. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the show and support our parish.

Bus Departure: The bus will be loading at 5:30 pm on June 13th and leaving Saint Anthony’s at 5:45 pm for Br. Nathanael’s Ordination at St. Mary’s Basilica. It is important that you arrive at our Parish and be ready to board for this start time.

The bus will be outside the church for boarding at 9:15 pm on Spring Garden Road for return to our Parish. It is typical that a tip for the driver is given and to that end someone will be available to collect any contribution you can make. The list of people for the bus ride will be displayed next weekend on the bulletin boards.

Fundraiser Towards Bus Transportation: All square spaces are sold and the name of the winner will be in next weekend’s bulletin. Thank you for your support.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is canned meat or fish.

St. Paul’s Church: The last Loonie-Toonie Coffee House of the season (Rock ‘n’ Roll evening) is this Wednesday, May 29th from 7:00-9:00pm - $2 per person. Perennial Plant Sale, Saturday, June 8th from 10:00am-1:00pm. Also, there will be houseplants, garden items, books, etc., and free coffee & tea.
