Welcome to St. Anthony's Church.

The people of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Faustina Kowalska Polish Mission, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax, are called to be "The People of God". Our faith in God's unconditional love for us, as evidenced in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and, as testified to by his church, gives us a firm hope in our salvation and the salvation of the world. We respond to God's love with adoration, thanksgiving, and petition through worship and prayer, and charity to our neighbour

Priestly Ordination of Br. Nathanael DesRoches: This Thursday, June 13, 2019, Br. Nathanael DesRoches of the Franciscans of Halifax will be ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Mancini. The ordination will take place at 7:00pm at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica.

Bus Departure ~ from St. Anthony’s: The bus will be loading at 5:30pm this Thursday, June 13th and leaving Saint Anthony’s at 5:45pm for Br. Nathanael’s Ordination at St. Mary’s Basilica. It is important that you arrive at our Parish and be ready to board for this start time.

Bus Departure ~ to St. Anthony’s: The bus will be outside St. Mary’s Basilica for boarding at 9:15pm on Spring Garden Road for return to our Parish. It is typical that a tip for the driver is given and to that end someone will be available to collect any contribution you can make. Please check the list of names on which are on bulletin boards.

Dinner: There will be a parish dinner next Saturday, June 15th after Mass to celebrate Br. Nathanael’s Ordination. Everyone is welcome to come and congratulate Br. Nathanael and the dinner is free of charge. Please sign-up in the boardroom after Mass if you would like to attend the dinner.

Fr. Nathanael’s First Masses: June 15th at 9:00am & June 16th at 11:00am and 7:00pm ~ St. Catherine’s Parish; June 15th at 4:00pm & June 16th at 9:00am at St. Anthony’s Parish; June 23rd at 1:00pm for St. Faustina’s Polish Mission

Transition Team Update: Our next team meeting will be June 11th. We will be discerning the overall parish name and discussing the facilities on each property.

Adoration: Will be cancelled this Thursday, June 13th due to Br. Nathanael’s Ordination to the Priesthood.

Flea Market: Thank you to everyone who helped in all areas of making the flea market and chowder dinner a success once again. Proceeds for our parish are $2,303 with a few dollars left to come in. We appreciate your kind generosity of donations, help and those who came out to support the flea market.

Country Classic Show: The last show for the season is next Sunday, June 16th. Admission is $7.

St. Vincent de Paul: Item of the month is pasta and/or sauce.
